GSC
Search Console

GSC-01
Impression spikes and drops in Search Console
Total impressions in the Search results report moved 30% or more against the previous 28 days, in either direction.
GSC-02
Search Console clicks do not match sessions in your analytics
GA4 Organic Search sessions do not equal Search Console clicks for the same period. A gap is normal when analytics comes in lower by 10% to 30%. Only two conditions are faults: a ratio below 0.40, or a ratio above 1.00.
GSC-03
Search Console data delay: why recent days look empty
The last 1 to 3 days in the Search results report show low or zero data, and those days read higher when you come back to them. Search Console does not report in real time. Google says most data is available within 2 to 3 days, and the newest day keeps climbing after that.
GSC-04
Average position changes without a ranking change
Average position in the Search results report moved by 3 or more places against the previous period, without a matching change in clicks. Average position is a weighted mean across every query, device and country you appeared in. It is not your rank for any single keyword.
IDX
Indexing
Why pages do and don’t make it into Google’s index.
IDX-01
Google hasn't indexed all your pages
The Page Indexing report shows 20% or more of your discovered URLs in a "Not indexed" state, and you expected every URL to be indexed.
IDX-02
Submitting a page for indexing did nothing
You used "Request Indexing" on a URL and, 7 or more days later, the Page Indexing report still shows the page as "Discovered, currently not indexed" or "Crawled, currently not indexed".
IDX-03
Discovered, currently not indexed
The Page Indexing report lists a page as "Discovered, currently not indexed", and it has sat in that state for 7 or more days.
IDX-04
Crawled, currently not indexed
The Page Indexing report lists a page as "Crawled, currently not indexed", and it has held that state for 7 or more days.
RANK
Rankings
What position data can and cannot tell you.
RANK-01
A perfect on-page score is not a ranking
A page shows a green tick or 100 out of 100 in Yoast, RankMath or a similar plugin. It does not rank in the top 20 for its target query.
RANK-02
The tool says zero volume, but there is demand
A keyword tool reports zero monthly search volume for a query people search. Zero in the tool means the sample did not record the query, not that demand is zero. Real demand shows in Search Console as one or more impressions in 90 days.
RANK-03
Why rankings change every day
A keyword changes position by three or more places between two checks on different days, with no site change in between. A change that holds for fewer than 14 days is noise. A change that holds for 14 days or more is a signal.
RANK-06
Keyword cannibalisation
Two of your pages compete for the same query and neither holds a strong position. In Search Console the query shows two or more of your URLs, and the position shifts between them.
RANK-20
Why we don't promise specific rankings
Revenueholic refuses ranking guarantees in every contract. A specific rank is not a stable target: it is personalized, device-specific and changes between searches by three or more places. We commit to three measurable things instead: intent coverage, technical health and share-of-voice change over 90 days.

CLIENT
Working together
How we handle advice, reporting and change requests.
CLIENT-01
Evaluating outside SEO advice
A client, or someone on their team, brings us advice from an AI tool that contradicts what we said. The advice usually comes with confidence and a source, and it usually does not have access to the client's own data. We treat it as a live item when it would change one or more things we are doing in the next 30 days.
CLIENT-03
Why more reports don't produce more trust
A client asks for reports beyond the monthly report, or asks for more metrics in each report. The monthly report is sent on the 7th, with data through the end of the prior month. A request for anything more than that is usually not about the report. It is about a missing baseline or missing trust. This article explains how to tell which, and what replaces a bigger report.
CLIENT-04
One change at a time
We change one thing at a time, and we measure it for one full window before changing the next thing. When a client or their team wants to change everything at once, we sequence the work instead. Two or more changes shipped in the same window are unattributable, so we never ship them together.
